New Workshop Piece – Fractured Daisy

I have been busy playing with multiple projects in 2014.  This year I have completed a queensize quilt top, modern comforter in the gorgeous Rapture range by Pat Bravo ( for Quilters Companion magazine – no photo yet) , second colourway of Avalon and today have just finished this brand new workshop piece called Fractured Daisy. Designed at a request from from students who have only used their 9 degree wedge rulers once. I wanted to show them a vastly different effect, rather than the strata version that they had previously used to construct a curved edge top in the shape of an S.

This piece will now live on my guest bed and I will make a matching cushion, using a different technique. I have enjoyed playing with this so much, it may start a whole new series. It may also be a project on a new cruise with Travelrite in 2015. Shhhh, you did not hear that from me!

Now off to write the instructions. Much prefer to be sewing!

Hope some of you have had rain in the last few days. Alas , there has not been one drop here, but the cloud cover was appreciated.

Happy Stitching!

  1. Where will the cruise be to? Or do I have to question Michelle Maher as we cross the Tasman? Might as well get in early!! 🙂
